Martin Schoots, Christian Eriksen's agent, has confirmed that the Denmark midfielder is undergoing extensive tests after collapsing with a heart arrest during his team's Euro 2020 opener against Finland on Saturday.

The Group B game was paused for an hour and 45 minutes before being restarted, with Finland winning 1-0.

Christian is a person who does not give up easily. He and his family would like to express their gratitude to everyone. We had a conversation this morning (Sunday). He was joking around and in excellent spirits, and he seemed to be in fantastic shape," he added.

Messages of support for Eriksen have poured in from within and outside the game, according to Schoots, which has helped to cheer him up.

"He was happy because he understood how much love he has around him," Schoots added. "He received messages from all over the world.
