 A top government official told India Today that the Enforcement Directorate is preparing to submit a chargesheet against fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi's wife Priti Choksi in the Rs 13,500 crore PNB fraud case.

According to ED sources, a chargesheet naming Priti Choksi as an accused in the case will be submitted soon. Priti Choksi was the ultimate beneficiary of a few offshore entities that were allegedly founded and utilized for money laundering and routing, according to the ED probe.

Last year, the ED filed an attachment in connection with the case, which included assets in Dubai.According to India Today, the ED discovered that Priti Choksi was designated as a nominee of most of her husband's companies.

According to sources, investigators have proof of how money looted from Punjab National Bank via letter of understandings was transferred and laundered through shell businesses related to Priti Choksi.
