Naftali Bennett, the next Israeli Prime Minister, said he is looking forward to working with Prime Minister Modi to further foster friendly relations.
On Monday, Israel's newly elected Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, said he was looking forward to working with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, to further deepen the two democracies' "unique and cordial relations."
Bennett, the 49-year-old leader of the right-wing Yamina party, tweeted this in response to Prime Minister Modi's congratulations tweet. Bennett became the new premier on Sunday, ending Benjamin Netanyahu's 12-year reign.
Prime Minister Modi had earlier congratulated Bennett on his inauguration as Israel's new prime minister, saying he was looking forward to meeting him and extending the strategic cooperation between the two nations as they mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations upgrading next year.
